The myth of being "Love and Light" all the time

I want to take a moment for a heart-to-heart with you. Let’s debunk a common myth. You know, the one that says we should be happy and loving and "light" every single day. Well, I'm here to tell you that it's not realistic. We're all human, and if we're living in this world, it's inevitable that we'll face some tough moments.

Sure, there will be days filled with joy and contentment, and those are absolutely wonderful. But alongside those great days, there will also be times of hardship. We'll experience heartaches, anxiety, and fear. And you know what? That's totally okay! In fact, it's more than okay – it's a natural part of being human. It's what makes our lives so rich and meaningful.

So, let's have a little journaling session together.

  • Are you giving yourself permission to be fully you? If not, why not?

  • Take a moment to check in with yourself and see what you’re feeling, and where you're feeling it in your body.

  • And here's a thought – what if you did give yourself permission to feel all the feels, without getting stuck there? How would that change your life and your relationships?

    It's important to recognize and honour every emotion that comes our way. Even the negative ones. It's easy to push them aside or pretend they don't exist, but that won't help us in the long run. By embracing and acknowledging all our emotions, we allow ourselves to fully experience the beauty of being human

    Now, I understand that it can be scary to feel those tough emotions. We worry they'll consume us or make us vulnerable. But remember, it's not about drowning in them. It's about how we respond and manage them. When we face them head-on with compassion and self-reflection, we create space for growth, healing, and transformation

    So, my friend, let's empower ourselves to navigate through these challenging emotions. Let's use healthy coping mechanisms and seek support when we need it. Together, we can foster resilience and personal growth
